KS3 ICT is Boring - How to make ICT one of the most engaging subjects in your school...

This seminar will provide you with dynamic, forward thinking and engaging resources to use in your ICT classes. These complete, structured units of work have already been developed and piloted by a team of experienced ICT teachers from around the country who are leading the way in the subject. There will be time on the day for delegates to network with fellow practitioners and develop further resources that can be shared with everyone involved thereby having a bank of units of work that can be used to teach high quality ICT lessons. The focus of the day will be KS3 ICT but this event will also be highly beneficial for KS2 teachers especially those responsible for ICT delivery in their school. The resources that have been developed are mapped against APP assessment criteria. The venue is a state-of-the-art creative space and a laptop with wired/wireless internet connection will be provided on the day. You will leave the event with resources that can be used in ICT classes the next day.

Objectives and learning outcomes:

  1. Discover new tools and new approaches to teaching ICT
  2. Get access to new, dynamic ICT resources for use in your classroom
  3. Become part of a revolution in making ICT a subject that students want to learn

Date - 2nd February 2011

Location: Alumwell Business and Enterprise College, Walsall, UK
